Sometimes we forget to thank for the simple miracles of everyday life, like water.
In El Bálsamo, a village punished by drought, the only source of water is a small communal well. The women of the village got up at midnight to line the well and store the condensed water at night for daily tasks.
The brave women of El Bálsamo became organized in order to find support, and now the town has a water pumping system powered by solar energy and a storage tank.
